Welcome to Tractorview
Welcome to TractorView, this site was designed to provide information about myself, my farm, and interests outside of what many would consider a typical farm topics. First a little about me, I own and operate a 2500 acre 4th generation farm that has been in my family since it was homesteaded in 1909. I am passionate about many things however for most of my life along with being a farmer I have been a competitive athlete and been focused on health and wellness in all regards. I earned a Physical Education degree from University of Alberta in 1997 and spent several years as a XC ski industry and am still an accredited CANSI Level 4 instructor. Around the same time my passion for cycling ignited and for the past 20 years have pedaled my way around North America racing mountain bikes and exploring new places with DeadGoat Racing out of Calgary, AB. Despite being one of the most competitive people you will ever meet at my core I am a farmer and take pride in sharing all that I have learned on my journey with others looking to improve their physical and mental well being. In the past year I teamed up with Shaun Haney and his RealAgriculture team to launch the Fit Farmer podcast and also share much of what we discuss in details on this blog. TractorView is a collection of my interests, passions and opinions on the world as I see it from my John Deere tractor.

And right now, I am getting sick of guys telling me I should buy some “Lulu” clothing because it is “sooo comfortable.” Over the past year this topic has come up more times than I care to discuss and, even worse, is it usually sparks a heated debate when I say I refuse to buy or wear it. I have a ton of respect for the company, the quality of the garments
